MR BADGER LENA (AQHA # 2612254) was a by-product of one of the nation’s largest Quarter Horse breeders, William S. Morris, III of Augusta, Georgia. Badger was LENA FELINA'S first foal, arriving on April 14, 1987, and the only offspring she produced from the great PEPPY SAN BADGER, (NCHA Hall of Fame. Equi-Stat #2 All-Time Leading Cutting Sire with earners of over $25,000,000). However, she went on to produce other offspring that earned over $150,000 NCHA money, FELINA FLO ($82,938): top 10 NCHA Open Futurity, split 7th, Breeders Invitational Open Derby), FELINA BOY ($74,540: 6th, AQHA World Championship Amateur Cutting; The Non-Pro $50,000 Amateur Champion). Lena Felina, herself, was a finalist in the NCHA Open Super Stakes and has over $18,000 in NCHA earnings. Badger came up with an injury just prior to being purchased in 1992 by Bill and Linda Childs of Wild Dreamz Quarter Horses. After attempting to show Badger in both Cutting events and Reining events, it was decided that Badger should retire to stud in 1993. His first foal crop arrived in 1994, and to date has 14 foal crops and over 112 Registered AQHA offspring. He has money earners and finalists in NCHA, NRHA, NRCHA, along with point earners within AQHA. BADGERS DIMON DREAMZ ($2,950: finalist in the NRCHA Open Futurity), I DREAM OLENA (14 AQHA points: Performance ROM; split 3rd, Utah Classic Open Reining Derby), BADGER IN THE HOLE (NCHA money-earner), BODACIOUS DREAMZ (NCHA money-earner), HEART N SOUL DREAMZ (AQHA point-earner cutting), BADGERS BLACK REMEDY (AQHA point-earner). Badger is also listed with the APHA Registry and has produced several paints. He throws color ... palomino, buckskin, dun, black, brown, sorrel, chestnut and bay. Badger offspring continue to demonstrate the versatility of the American Quarter Horse. He was recently blood typed for the National Foundation Quarter Horse Registry at 86% Foundation, Registration # F0029430.
